Timber

Timber is the traditional material for signs and is still used in many cases.  It has strength and can often be employed where a 'traditional' look is required that may be more difficult to obtain with more modern materials.  Properly treated timber should last for many years and we apply this treatment to any timber signs we supply.

Composite timber based board - MDF, is frequently used for internal signs - see our routed signs.  Although waterproof MDF can be used outdoors we generally recommend more robust materials where signs are exposed to the Scottish weather!
